I make most everything. There are pieces that I have bought because of cost and time. The catsuit in this cosplay was one of them! I got a great deal on it and it was my first cosplay ever. Of course, I had to alter it to fit my proportions and add the fur. No big deal there though.
I will be releasing them very soon! I will definitely talk to the photographers about making this one into a poster.
You shouldn't compare your looks to others! Everyone has different preferences and ideas of beauty. The fact that we're different in those ways is an amazing thing. <3
Aww~ shucks! I'm flattered you responded to my message. :3
I visited your official website and I can't believe you try to answer everyone's message the best you can. I think its incredible you take the time out of your life to do so. I find that very sweet and admirable. Answering fan mail can be considered a full time job! Just like it means the world to you that fans take the time to send you messages and ask how you're doing, it also means the world to fans when they receive a direct reply from you even if it only says "thank you for the kind words!" Even the shortest replies can do wonders to our geeky hearts.
I think its so awesome that people will express their love and passion for anime/comic/videogame hobbies through cosplay. Cosplay is like the ultimate dedication. This year, I attended my very first convention Anime Expo 2013. The fandom in me exploded. It was such a fun and great experience to able to just be yourself and enjoy the same thinks with thousands of people. Attending AX2013 really opened my eyes to the world of cosplay. I really want to take up photography as a hobby and help the world see the amazing side of cosplay.
I'm an amateur artist and a huge art fanatic. I consider cosplay to be a form of art. Cosplay brings your favorite art to life. I enjoy drawing and I do it for me first and foremost. Is it safe to say you cosplay for similar reasons? You're doing it for yourself because you really enjoy it. Then second for our fans and admirers. They really drive our passion to the next level. Sure we would continue to do our hobbies even if we didn't have any fans but the kind messages and support from the fans reminds us why we love doing what we do in the first place and motivates us to bring out the best in ourselves whether it be replicating a costume to its finest details or being creative and having our own twist to our favorite characters in a concept painting.
I know how you're a huge blizzard fan. So I have to ask did you ever play WoW? xD Alot of cosplayers seem to be playng or have played WoW. Blizzard has been getting alot of negative feedback with their latest WoW expansion Mist of Panderia and Diablo 3. So I really hope they can turn things around with their new "Titan" MMO and the upcoming Diablo 3 expansion.
I really love what you're doing and I hope you continue to go full steam ahead. Alot of concerns cosplayers have is the cost of making their costumes. If they have an online shop selling prints of their cosplays, I buy a few prints to help them out. I put down an order for a few of your prints so I hope every little bit helps you in any way!
With how you respond and interact with your fans "You're one dynamite gal!" (Kudos! if you know this movie quote) I don't mean to be presumptuous and act like I know you but you seem to be a very good hearted and caring person. I want to end this message by saying thank you for being you. You bring a lot of smiles to your fans. <3
P.S. Thank you for the uplifting words in your last statement. Confidence is key but there are some days I feel bleh. lol
